Born Stonemoor, Padiham, Lancashire, enlisted Burnley, Lancashire, (Stonemoor, Padiham).

Died, France/Flanders, 10 October 1918.

Buried in Sedan (St. Charles’s) Communal Cemetery, France. Grave number 398.

The Cemetery Register records that he was aged 26 at the time of his death, and the son of Sarah Jane Curdiff, (formerly Dickinson), of Spring Cottage, Moor Bottom, Padiham, Burnley, Lancashire, and the late Hartley Dickinson.

Taken prisoner during the German Spring offensive on, or about the 23 March 1918. Reported “missing” on the 27 March 1918. Died in German hands whilst a prisoner of war.
